“Physical clutter can affect both mind and spirit.”
The best time for the new beginning is now.

Most people in the US take pride in home cleanliness. A survey in 2016 revealed that over 80% of Americans feel the need to keep their homes clean. Of which, over 40% cleaned their homes regularly. However, the survey also revealed that most people find cleaning to be a hassle, yet a chore needed to get accomplished nevertheless.

Having a clean and organized house is always instilled by either the parent or adults in a family. This concept may be due to societal pressure, but science proves that cleaning and organizing can have a good impact on the health and well being of an individual.

A study from the Indiana state university found that people with cleaner houses tend to be happier and healthier than those with messy houses. Another study in 2018 confirmed that women who described her home as cluttered or messy tend to be more depressed than those who represent their space as organized.

Benefits of cleaning and organizing:
• It can help reduce stress. A decluttered space leads to a decluttered mind. An organized area can help you think more clearly.
• It will help you eat better. Studies show that a cluttered space causes the person to overeat comfort foods. On the other hand, a clean space promotes mindful eating, which results in a healthier living.
• It can lessen the risk of diseases. Accumulated dust and dirt can become a breeding ground for bacteria and allergies. By keeping the place clean, the air quality and environment becomes better.
