Most people are not aware of the term inflammation. The term split into two categories, namely, acute and chronic. While the former is vital to the healing process of the body, the latter causes multiple health risks. chronic inflammation causes chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and colon disease. 

Allergies can trigger inflammation through external factors such as dust, pollen, or ingestion of certain nuts. If left untreated, studies show that this can cause further tissue damage and affect the skeletal system of the body. It can cause arthritis and rheumatism. It can also affect the nervous by reducing blood flow to the brain. This condition leads to multiple problems such as a decline in cognitive function or worst cases, Alzheimer’s.

Several foods can cause inflammation in an individual’s body. These include refined carbohydrates, fried foods, soda, red meat, and saturated fats. Fortunately, studies from the Department of Nutrition, Harvard School affirms that there are also anti-inflammatory foods that can combat this disease. These foods include tomatoes, green vegetables, nuts, fish, fruits, and unsaturated oils. 

The benefits of an anti-inflammatory diet:

can reduce inflammation and lessen the risk for chronic diseases like cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and skeletal problems. 

Anti-Inflammatory foods are usually unprocessed and can improve both physical and mental health of an individual.
