Its actually pretty simple either you do it, or you don’t.

The core muscles include a group of muscles located in the trunk that extend from the head to the pelvis. It is responsible for supporting the trunk region together with the skeletal and connective tissues. 

Core workouts help improve increase balance and stability by involving the muscles from the pelvis and lower back to the abdomen. It can create a stable and toned tummy together with the help of aerobic exercises to burn off fat. Moreover, having a strong core allows higher physical capabilities for the individual to use. 

Weak core muscles are prone to fatigue, reduced endurance, and injuries when doing physical activities. It can also cause lower back pain and affect posture. 

According to a study in 2019, an eight-week core training on athletes resulted in improvement in static balance, core endurance, and running economy.

Benefits of doing core exercises:

It can help work out multiple muscles at once. It is inclusive of muscles of the back, abdomen, thigh, and pelvis.

It increases balance and stability. Strong core muscles help balance the muscle weight of the body, thus increasing stability.

It can lessen the risk for back and muscle pains. Strong core muscles have higher endurance and are less prone to pain once developed. 

It improves the spinal posture. Strong core muscles can help support the spinal column thud providing structure for the column. 

It enhances performance for physical activities. Having strong core muscles allows higher physical capabilities for the individual to pursue.
